Truth is, I never wanted to become a business owner. It wasn't even a thought that ever crossed my mind. I actually cringed at the thought of being an entrepreneur. Yes, I know. Very naive of me but this is exactly how I felt. Like, why would someone invest in something and take chances on an idea that wasn't guaranteed to be successful? I just thought it was so silly...

Welp, there I go announcing on Facebook that I will be handcrafting and selling 100% soy wax candles. "Ain't no turning back now Tay, it's Facebook official!" I thought to myself (LOL).

All that crap I talked about how I couldn't see myself becoming a business woman, went right out the window because I discovered that my self care routine was in fact, my passion.

I never imagined becoming a business owner. I never imagined becoming a business owner and selling out within 10 hours of my first launch. I don't know why God continues to favor me (nor will I question it) but I am very thankful that he changed my mindset about the one thing I always said I would never do.

My name is Taylor and I am the owner of Taylor Candle & Co. I am 26 years young and I am originally from Lansing, MI. Currently, I reside in Queen Creek, AZ. Before moving here to Arizona in 2017 I knew I wanted a new life, a fresh start and just new beginnings. After the sudden passing of my late Aunt Debra; I knew I needed to get out and explore the world. I was accepting whatever challenges God was willing to give to me, just for a fresh start.

2020 being the year of clarity, I had a vision but I just needed clarification. I wanted to make sure what I was doing would make a difference, that would make people feel good about themselves using my product and last but not least; something that God agreed with me on.

Taylor Candle & Co is not just about me. It's about everyone who has encouraged me, supported me, consoled me, nurtured me, listened to me, and simply gave me words of wisdom to keep on keepin' on. I've learned throughout this journey that nothing changes, if nothing changes. Do whatever it is you need to make your change and achieve your goals. Remember that no one has the mindset that you do. Manifest the life you want, believe in yourself, ask God for direction, make him the head of your craft and put in the work. What you water will grow. I say all of this to say, don't be so quick to count things out without even trying them first. You are only one idea away from changing your life.
